The Implementation Consultant will work closely with customers to utilize our software applications to achieve customer satisfaction and return on investment. This will be accomplished by helping both new and existing customers through the complete customer lifecycle from implementation planning and installation to training and providing ongoing field support. The consultant will collaborate with Certica’s support and engineering departments to resolve any technical issues, and coordinate with sales and marketing on developing new business opportunities.
The Implementation Consultant must be a skilled technologist that has the ability to interact with individuals at all levels in our customers’ organizations. He or she must be able to work independently, but must also be able to collaborate and develop close relationships with peers and others in the company. The successful candidate will be able to get things done in an efficient manner, while working for a small company with limited resources.
This role is a remote position where the Implementation Consultant will primarily work from their home office, and will often be required to travel to our customers in various parts of Texas (view a current list of our Texas customers).
- Customer implementation planning and delivery
- Consultation with customer on optimal software configuration
- Software installation and ongoing maintenance of technical environment
- Train and support end users on our software applications as well as business processes
- Facilitate ongoing adoption of our software applications by business users at customer
- Maintain and update Certify Projects for assigned customers
- Solicit feedback and product enhancement ideas from customers
- Collaborate with Field Services Team in the identification of best practices
- Participate in various Product Management activities, such as reviewing new product features and beta testing
- Combination of strong technology skills and business acumen
- Excellent inter-personal, written and oral communication skills, and able to quickly develop rapport with customers
- Project management skills and ability to lead and manage teams not under direct control
- Adept at presenting in front of small to medium size groups
- Proficient in data analysis, deductive reasoning, and technical trouble shooting
- Competent with all MS Office Products, preferably including MS Project, as well as web based applications in general
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of various RDBMS’s, including SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL
- Prior work experience should include:
- 5+ years in a company that develops commercial software applications
- 3+ years in customer facing roles, relationship management, and/or project management
- Technology related BS or MS, possibly an MBA – technical product certifications a plus
- Must have high level of responsiveness to both customer and internal requests
- Pleasant personality and ability to get along with a diverse set of individuals
- Strong initiative; must be self motivated, and able to learn and work autonomously
- Relies on experience and judgment to make customer recommendations and achieve goals
